This review is from: PROMATE Snorkeling Scuba Dive Mask Fins DRY Snorkel Gear Set (Misc.)
I bought these for use with a class that will be going snorkeling in Panama in a couple weeks. I chose this set under recommendation by a friend and former navy diver who knows about all things human-in-water. The items arrived promptly, in great condition, everything fit me well, (sm/med flippers and I am a size 8), and mask and snorkel worked great when I tested everything out in a pool. I was also able to dive (with instruction) down to the bottom of the pool and come back up with out any leakage in the mask and the dry snorkel function worked. Also, I believe that beginners need to wear neoprene socks with their flippers. I purchased a pair from amazon and they made all the difference. If someone has been snorkeling or diving for many years, they have calluses that protect their feet from blistering, while beginners don’t. If this is your first set, definitely get a pair of neoprene socks (i.e. here Body Glove Flipper Slipper Neoprene Sock (what I got)) Only Con is that when swimming, my ankles feel a bit over extended, sort of like a ballet foot but I am not sure if it is the way that *I* am swimming or if the flippers are made of a material that is slightly too stiff for my level. But when I get back from my trip, I will probably update this so everyone knows. I really do like the product despite the one con, and think that it was worth it to me.
